Samsung has started teasing the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. The company is soon expected to launch a premium smartphone. Now a new rumour has surfaced online revealing the launch timeline of the next generation Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
According to tipster Ice Universe, Samsung is expected to launch its flagship smartphone series — Galaxy S24 on January 18. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is said to consist of three smartphones — Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series expected features
According to multiple online leaks, The anticipated Galaxy S24 Ultra is projected to showcase a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED LTPO display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, the frame material stands out as a key feature. Reports suggest a Titanium frame, a departure from the Aluminum frame seen in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Additionally, the phone is expected to be equipped with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, set to make its debut later this year. The primary camera is likely to remain unchanged, featuring a 200MP sensor. Complementing this are a 12MP sensor, a 50MP sensor, a 10MP sensor, and a 12MP selfie camera.
Operating on Android 14 with One UI 6, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is speculated to house a robust 5000mAh battery with support for 45W charging.
There are a couple of noteworthy aspects evident in these leaks. It’s expected that the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will be integrated, aligning with Samsung’s tradition of launching S-series phones with the latest Qualcomm processor or its equivalent Exynos version (with the exception of the Galaxy S23 series). Additionally, the use of Android 14 with One UI 6 is anticipated. The introduction of a Titanium frame is a significant enhancement, promising increased durability and reduced weight for the phone.
